Background
I recently came across an interesting set of designs by Jamie, in demonstration of an even more interesting idea for a project. I decided to try and experiment what I could do with it.
Of course, since I was copying the designs, I didn't want to use it for anything serious, ergo why this is marked as a research project, not a personal project. I hope this is okay, and clear that I'm not trying to steal anyone's work.
Goal
The goal of this project was to give myself a challenge to see how far I could go with creating a full-stack project, from re-creating designs in code, to architecting the app itself. Lucky enough, I've been meaning to try out PocketBase for a while, so I decided to use it for this project.
Notes
- I'm using Fly.io to host the PocketBase/backend dashboard, and I'm currently at the mercy of the free tier, so I'm not sure how long it'll last. Also, being on the free tier, I'm not sure how well it'll perform, so expect some slowness.
- I really, really, enjoy using SvelteKit.
It's a shame there aren't many jobs for it, but I hope that'll change soon.
